Meet the Orthodontist

Dr. Sinead O’Hanrahan

Dr. Sinead O’Hanrahan is a widely respected Orthodontist. She is on the Specialist Orthodontist list with the Dental Council since 2006. She was President of Ireland’s Orthodontic Society from 2014 to 2016. She is the current editor of the Federation of European Orthodontics and the Irish representative of the European Federation of Orthodontic Specialists Societies. She is involved in the successful bid for the European Orthodontic Society conference, to be held in Dublin in 2026.

She has run and set up her own practice, Navan Orthodontics, for 16 years, until she sold it in 2020 to her associate. She has been employed by the HSE for over 28 years as a Dentist and then an Orthodontist. She currently works part-time as a Specialist Orthodontist in the HSE Orthodontic Unit at Louth County Hospital, Dundalk.

She provides Orthodontic treatment for adults and children, from standard fixed appliances cases to multidisciplinary / Orthognathic surgery, and aligner treatments. She completed her Post Graduate Masters in Orthodontics in Trinity College Dublin in 2006, Fellowship in Dental Surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, and her MOrth qualification through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

She currently lives in Dublin with her two grown-up children.
